Google Running Scared

Posted In: , , . By Knoxville SEM

Yesterday I read a funny little tweet from the famous Danny Sullivan:

dannysullivani hear sergey brin is building a panic room at google in case of bing attack, too http://bit.ly/bfIcY and buying gold. stocking up on food

I sent an @ message but of course he'll never see it. He has not yet discovered how awesome it is to follow me on Twitter.

Anyway, apparently Danny isn't too far off, especially when you consider the speculation floating around.

Oh and Yahoo! is still around too.

Koogle, the latest search engine to hit the web, is Rabbi tested and approved. Koogle is free of sexually illicit and other "religiously objective material" in it's search results.

The best part? Koogle does not work, as it shouldn't, on the Sabbath.

Read more here and here.

Try Koogle (if you can read Hebrew) here. Try Koogle (if you can't read Hebrew) here.

Click here for a great Koogle recipe (my wife would love that I'm posting something about food).

You know when people ask stoopid questions like "how much should I pay for this car," or "what makes KnoxvilleSEM so great?"

Now, leave out the famous quote "just Google it stupid," and just do it for them.

Bing made it's debut this weekend to mixed reviews, especially concerning it's gracious porn results.

Microsoft hopes Bing will rival the popularity and loyalty of Google's worldwide monopoly.

My wife and I have been waiting two years for Red Robin to open in Knoxville.

This was one of our favorite restaurant chains in LA. The burgers are fawsome, their lemonades are killer, and everything (including the $3.50 freckled lemonade) is free refills!

The last time we had Red Robin, we had to drive all the way to Nashville...don't get me wrong though, we went to Nashville for more than just Red Robin.

Is you've never been, I highly recommend you go.

Searching For...Yourself

Guilty as charged! I don't care what you say, so are you!

Google has now provided an option to influence the search results of your name.

More info here.

For starters:

we found that the median advertiser showing their ads on both networks has a CPA
that's about 2% lower on the Content Network than on search pages. Furthermore,
we found that the Content Network delivers nearly 20% of their total
conversions.

Not bad at all.

More info here.
